9/9/26 - PTA General Meeting - Join us on Sept. 9th, Wednesday, at 6:00pm in the MPR for our first meeting of the school year. Kids are welcome, but parents/guardians are responsible for their own children. Pizza will be provided (while supplies last). There'll also be a raffle for a free 26-27 yearbook. 9/1/26 - 9/29/26: Ellis PTA Membership Drive. Join the PTA and help your child's class win a popsicle party! The class from each grade level with the most PTA memberships wins. Popsicle parties will take place Sept. 30th. Single membership: $10 / Membership for two: $18. Ways to join: cash/check (payable to Ellis PTA). Membership forms in the front office. WHY JOIN ELLIS PTA?

We're a volunteer-run organization with the goal of engaging families to ensure the best outcomes for all children. Join now to:

 

  • Support your PTA in delivering enrichment programs for students, family engagement events, staff appreciation and much more

  • Have a say in PTA programs and how PTA funds are being spent

  • Get to know other parents, teachers and members of the Ellis community

  • Stay informed and up-to-date on what's going on in the school

  • Learn about volunteer opportunities (with absolutely NO obligation to volunteer, though we'd love it if you did!)

  • Receive exclusive emails only available to PTA members

  • Your membership also helps the National PTA and Nevada PTA advocate for every child on a national and state level

  • Membership is just $10 per parent/guardian for the school year or $18 for two

GET INVOLVED

The PTA isn't just about being a volunteer. There are many ways to get involved with the PTA.


Be a passive member – Pay your $10 annual dues and never even attend a PTA meeting! This gets you membership to Ellis PTA as well as Nevada and National PTA. Our state and national cohorts do a lot of child advocacy work and every additional member helps them in their cause when they speak with legislators.

Attend PTA meetings – PTA meetings are your opportunity to get an update on upcoming events and find out what's going on at the school. And while everyone can attend a PTA meeting, only current PTA members may make motions, discuss, and vote.

Donate – Don’t have time but still want to contribute? There are many opportunities to show your support by donating money and/or supplies. 

 

Volunteer at the school – Our PTA coordinates several events and activities throughout the school year. As we are entirely volunteer-led, we are always looking for people who can help. You can volunteer as little or as much as you’d like! Note that many volunteer opportunities during the school day require volunteers to badged with CCSD. Learn more about how to get badged.


Volunteer outside of school – Occasionally we need volunteers who can help us collect Costco orders, do work from home, or otherwise.


Participate in a committee – We’re always looking for volunteers who want to increase their level of involvement and participate in a committee.
